CNIC Loss — NADRA Process
If your CNIC was in the wallet, you must report it to NADRA to prevent identity fraud. Visit any NADRA office with your Form B (birth certificate) or family registration certificate. The duplicate CNIC fee is PKR 750 for regular processing or PKR 2,500 for urgent. You'll receive a temporary CNIC receipt valid while waiting for the new card.
Filing an FIR for Stolen Wallet
If you believe your wallet was stolen, file an FIR at the nearest police station. This creates a legal record that's useful for insurance claims and for clearing your liability if the cards are fraudulently used. Most banks require an FIR number to waive liability for unauthorized transactions.

If Your Wallet Is Found by Someone Honest
Pakistan has more honest finders than most people assume. Lost-and-found success stories are common in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The problem isn't a shortage of honest finders — it's a shortage of ways to contact the owner. A small QR tag sticker inside your wallet solves this permanently.
