1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. When a finder scans your QR tag, we collect their name, phone number, and GPS coordinates at the time of scan. We also collect device and browser information for security and fraud prevention.

2. How We Use Your Information

To link your QR tag to your account and enable contact from finders.
To send email notifications when your tag is scanned.
To enable anonymous WhatsApp/call bridging via our Twilio integration.
To process and verify your payment orders.
To detect fraudulent or abusive scanning activity.

3. Your Phone Number Privacy

Your real phone number is never publicly displayed on the scan page. Finders see a contact button that routes through our anonymous bridge. Even when you choose "Direct WhatsApp", the finder must submit their own name and phone before seeing your number — creating mutual accountability.

4. Finder Data

Finders who scan your tag provide their name and phone number. This data is stored in your scan log and is accessible only to you and Nishaaan administrators. Finders are informed that their details will be shared with the tag owner.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Twilio — for anonymous call and WhatsApp bridging.
Brevo (Sendinblue) — for transactional email notifications.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Scan logs are retained for 24 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. We do not store plain-text payment credentials — only payment screenshots uploaded by users for manual verification.

8. Your Rights

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of Nishaaan after changes constitutes acceptance.
