Dubai International Airport (DXB) — Overview

Terminal Guide for Pakistanis
Terminal 1 — Emirates Business & Concourse D
Used by Emirates for some flights and several international carriers. Less used by Pakistani travelers.
Terminal 2 — Budget & Regional Airlines
Used by flydubai (major carrier for Pakistanis) and other regional airlines. Smaller and easier to navigate than T3.
Terminal 3 — Emirates Main Terminal
The largest terminal. Used by Emirates for most flights. PIA arrivals also use this terminal. Concourses A, B, and C — follow signs carefully as it's vast.
Transit in Dubai
- Transits under 24 hours: Stay in the airport — dedicated transit hotels available in T3
- Visa-free transit: Pakistani passport holders can stay airside without a UAE visa during transit
- Dubai visa on arrival: Not available for Pakistani nationals — must arrange visa in advance

Metro Connection
Dubai Metro (Red Line) connects T1 and T3 to the city — DXB Terminal 1, Terminal 3 stations. Journey to central Dubai: 25-40 minutes. Cost: AED 8-12. Runs 5:30am to midnight (1am on Fridays). Purchase NOL card at metro entrance.
