Sindh People's Bus Service (SPBS)

The government-operated SPBS buses are Karachi's most reliable public transport. Air-conditioned, with female-only sections, and generally better controlled. They're not crime-free, but significantly safer than private buses. Key routes cover DHA-Saddar, Gulshan-Saddar, and North Karachi-City Station corridors.

Safety tips for SPBS: Keep bags in your lap, not on the floor or overhead. The female section is genuinely enforced and recommended for women traveling alone.

Private Buses and Minibuses

Karachi's private bus network is one of the most chaotic in the world. These buses are over-loaded, fast-moving, and have virtually no safety oversight. From a belongings perspective:
